"I designed an action-research plan on the unique sanitation-related issues faced by NT-DNTs. It was accessible enough to be confidently led by community members themselves."
-Deepa Pawar writes on the sanitation challenges faced by Nomadic and Denotified Tribe (NT-DNT) communities, emphasising the lack of access to toilets and the consequent impact on dignity and well-being in a two-part series on Behan Box on the occasion of Vimukti Divas (31st of August).

It stresses the importance of empowering NT-DNT communities to articulate their own struggles and advocate for their rights, while also advocating for a constitutional approach to ensure access to basic facilities for all marginalized populations.
